LANSING, MI - An escaping Ingham County Jail inmate was on the loose for only for a few minutes after he tried to hide from police in front of the state's prison headquarters Monday. Lansing police captured fleeing inmate Michael Mountain, 24, about five minutes after he escaped Monday morning, April 30, Ingham County Sheriff Scott Wriggelsworth said. He was arrested on a roof top across the street from the Michigan Department of Corrections Headquarters, 206 E. Michigan Ave., after a corrections staff member noticed Mountain hiding behind a car parked across the street from the building, Michigan Department of Corrections spokesman Chris Gautz said.
