Inmate pleads guilty to arson charges |

WILKES-BARRE — A Luzerne County Correctional Facility inmate accused of setting fires in two jail cells using a lighter she concealed in a body cavity pleaded guilty Wednesday to arson charges. Danielle Ann Housenick, 25, pleaded guilty to arson, risking catastrophe, institutional vandalism and criminal mischief. Prosecutors say Housenick set fire to clothing and paper products that had been placed on the floor in the center of a cell the night of May 22, 2017. The next night, a jail employee noticed a small fire burning in a cell where Housenick was held alone, prosecutors said. Read More. |
