CRANSTON, R.I. (AP) — An inmate incarcerated in a Rhode Island prison for the 1973 murder of a correctional officer is accused of stabbing another. WPRI-TV reports 79-year-old John Carillo allegedly stabbed a correctional officer Friday morning in a maximum security building at the Adult Correctional Institutions. Officials say the officer was stabbed in his chest and has been treated and released from Rhode island Hospital. Read More. |
