COLUMBIA, SC (WSPA) - An inmate at Kirkland Correctional Institution is dead after he was found unresponsive in his cell Friday night. According to the Richland County Coroner's Office, 18-year-old Jamarcus Hykeem Dawkins was found unresponsive in his cell around 9:30 p.m. Dawkins was taken to Palmetto Health Richland Memorial Hospital where he died shortly before 11:30 p.m. Read More. |
