Inmates get a chance to explore creativity with the Wichita County inmate art program |

WICHITA FALLS (KFDX/KJTL) - For decades, California has implemented different art classes and programs in prisons and they've proved highly successful in improving inmates attitudes, behavior and self-worth. The Wichita County Sheriff's Office was recently awarded a grant to start an art program in the county jail. This program is the first of its kind in Texas.. and those who run it say it is all about making a difference in the lives of those who are locked up by showing them that art can provide hope for a much brighter future.
