Wallens Ridge State Prison Offender Dies |

RICHMOND – At approximately 2:45 p.m. today, a Wallens Ridge State Prison inmate was pronounced dead at Lonesome Pine Hospital in Big Stone Gap, Virginia. An inmate-on-inmate in-cell attack is suspected and the incident is under investigation. The deceased 55-year old male offender is not being identified pending notification of family. He was serving a sentence of life plus 207 years for multiple robbery convictions, larceny, assault and battery, carjacking, and kidnap/abduction, among other charges. Read More. |
