The Virginia Department of Corrections has identified a Wallens Ridge State Prison inmate who died May 18 following a suspected attack by another inmate. Donald Wayne Gary, 55, was serving “a sentence of life plus 207 years for multiple robbery convictions, larceny, assault and battery, carjacking, and kidnap/abduction, among other charges,” according to the department. According to published reports, he was convicted in 1998 of kidnapping two women from a Danville trailer park at gunpoint, then robbing a man at a car wash and stealing his vehicle. Read More. |
