Today at approximately 2:25 PM , an officer with the Colorado Department of Corrections (CDOC) was involved in an shooting at the Logan County Courthouse. The officer was responding to an escape attempt by a CDOC offender and fired upon the offender who was hit by gunfire. The offender was transported to a local hospital. His condition is unknown at this time. The Colorado Bureau of Investigation is conducting an investigation. The officer involved has been placed on administrative leave as per policy. No officers were injured during the incident. |
