A Century Correctional Institution inmate was pronounced dead at the facility Sunday, according to a spokeswoman for the Florida Department of Corrections. Authorities did not release details about the circumstances of Corey Leland's death, citing an ongoing investigation. Leland, 44, was serving a five-year sentence for fraud, a petit theft charge and a weapons offense out of Madison County, according to FDC data. Read More. |
