| Inmate who escaped from facility in Decatur recaptured |

A man serving time on a robbery charge from Etowah Countywho escaped from a community-based facility in Decatur Tuesday afternoon has been recaptured, according to the Alabama Department of Corrections. Jared Kendrick Jones, a 23-year-old black male, escaped from the facility around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, officials said. He was found and taken back into custody at 6:20 p.m. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a bright orange shirt with black and white stripes and black shoes, officials said. He stands 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs about 130 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. Read More. |
