Two escaped prisoners have been captured by police after attempting to flee first in a stolen pickup truck, then on an ATV. The prisoners, who broke away from the Red Deer Remand Centre on Tuesday, were finally caught in a farm field after a foot chase with the help of a police dog in the Innisfail area. On Tuesday afternoon, Innisfail RCMP responded to a call for assistance from Blackfalds RCMP regarding a stolen black Dodge pickup truck that was last seen travelling out of their jurisdiction. After receiving calls from the public and with an observation from an Alberta Parks Conservation Officer west of Innisfail, RCMP members began searching for the vehicle. Read More. |
