Inmate at Louisville Metro Department of Corrections dies in custody |

An inmate at Louisville Metro Department of Corrections - Community Corrections Center was found unresponsive in his housing unit by corrections officers Tuesday morning, according to a release from Louisville Metro Police. The inmate, Levin M. Guinn, 37, was treated by medical staff at the jail and later transported to Jewish Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. "Suspected powdered narcotic drugs" were found with Guinn, the release stated, and authorities suspect his death is related to drug use. Read More. |
