CARMI, IL — One of three inmates who escaped from the White County Jail in Carmi is back in police custody. WGN reported 28-year-old Justin Bray was captured Saturday night in a rural town north of the southeastern Illinois jail. Police warn residents to be on alert as Johnny Tipton and Zachery Shock, who was charged with first degree murder, are still on the loose, according to the news report. Police say the inmates used a pipe to break a hole in the jail's brick wall to escape Saturday morning. Read More. |
