| Green Haven inmate attacked 3 correctional officers |

Three correctional officers have not returned to work since they were attacked by an inmate on June 29, according to a release by the New York State Correctional Officers and Police Benevolent Association. At approximately 8:20 p.m., an inmate, in his cell block, ran down a flight of stairs up to an officer and punched him in the face. The officer sustained a fractured jaw according to the NYSCOPBA release. The inmate then turned to another officer and puncher in the right side of the face, she sustained bruising and abrasions to her face, right arm and chest, according to the release. Read More. |
