Nevada to execute inmate using new drug combination |

(CNN) - Nevada plans to execute a convicted murderer with a combination of drugs that has never been used before to carry out a capital punishment sentence. The state is planning to use three drugs -- midazolam (a sedative), fentanyl (the high-potency opioid) and cisatracurium (a paralytic) -- to execute Scott Dozier on Wednesday at 8 p.m. (11 p.m. ET). Dozier, 47, is not making legal challenges to halt his execution, telling the Las Vegas Review-Journal: "Life in prison isn't a life. This isn't living, man. It's just surviving." Read More. |
