MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — Authorities are continuing to investigate the July 9 death of an inmate at Eastern Regional Jail near Martinsburg. Christopher Allen Rowland, 48, of Martinsburg was pronounced dead at Berkeley Medical Center in Martinsburg after being found unresponsive at the jail, West Virginia State Police Sgt. J.M. Walker said Thursday. The body of the Hagerstown native was taken to Charleston, W.Va., for an autopsy, but Walker didn't have information about the findings of the examination. Read More. |
