Inmates help clean up after storm |

A Holmes County Jail inmate crew helped with clean-up efforts in Ponce de Leon Monday, in the wake of the storm that felled numerous trees and power lines on Sunday, leaving hundreds of Ponce de Leon residents without electricity for several hours. The inmate work crew began cleanup at Danny Byrd Ballpark off U.S. Highway 90 and are continuing to other affected areas throughout the day. Holmes County Sheriff John Tate says he is grateful to them and all others who helped with deal with the aftereffects of the storm. Read More. |
