JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - An autopsy is expected to be conducted after an inmate death was reported at the Jefferson City Correctional Center early Sunday morning. According to the Missouri Department of Corrections, offender Wayne Ell, 56, DOC No. 36963, was pronounced dead at 12:56 a.m. Ell was serving a life sentence for six counts of first-degree robbery, two counts of first-degree burglary and two counts of first-degree assault from St. Louis City.
