RISD filmmaker looks at life for children with parents behind bars |

Tre, Maison and Dasan are three Rhode Island boys of different ages and different personalities. But the three share a difficult circumstance — all have had a parent in prison. They are the subjects of a documentary, “Tre Maison Dasan,” directed by Denali Tiller, an adjunct professor at RISD. It will be screened at the Rhode Island International Film Festival on Saturday, Aug. 11, at the Metcalf Auditorium in the RISD Museum at 12:15 p.m. Tiller said the boys plan to attend. “It’s a great homecoming, to be in this festival,” she said.
