Two inmates captured after escape from Geiger Corrections Center |

SPOKANE, Wash. - On Sunday morning, KXLY received a press release from Spokane County Sheriff's Office PIO Mark Gregory on two escaped Geiger Detention Services inmates: On Saturday at around 5:15 a.m., a person driving back from the Spokane International Airport noticed a person dressed in yellow jump the security fence which surrounds the Geiger Detention Services facilities. The person's report caused Spokane County Detention Services Staff to immediately lock-down Geiger and begin an inmate count while Spokane County Sheriff’s Office Deputies , Spokane Valley Deputies, Airport Police Officers, Airway Heights Police Officers, Spokane Police Officers and Washington State Patrol Troopers responded to the area.
