KSP says Fulton jail inmate didn’t die as result of foul play |

HICKMAN — The Kentucky State Police said over the weekend that a Mayfield man who died while incarcerated in a western Kentucky jail did not die because of foul play. In a news release, KSP Master Trooper Jay Thomas said that the results of a preliminary autopsy examination in Louisville showed that Tommy W. Prather, 56, of Mayfield, died as the result of a heart attack that occurred Friday afternoon at the Fulton County Detention Center in Hickman. Earlier, Thomas had said that KSP Post 1 in Hickory was conducting a death investigation in the case. He said Post 1 received a call from the jail at 2:10 p.m. Friday. Read More. |
