Livingston County inmate offered cash, truck and camper to kill witness in theft case |

An inmate in the Livingston County Jail on a theft charge tried to have a witness to the theft killed. James Bonam, 22, offered another inmate $5,000 cash, a truck and camper to have the witness in his felony criminal case killed. Prosecutors last month charged James Bonam, 22, with solicitation of murder and solicitation of larceny. Matthea Spicer, a 19-year-old woman from Fenton, is also charged in connection with the scheme. Bonam was arrested and lodged in the Livingston County jail this spring in a separate larceny case, which is still pending. He has a history of larceny charges involving stolen jet skis and trailers.
