A Hall County Jail inmate was charged with escape one week before he was scheduled to be released. Denzel Guy McGlotha, 24, of Gainesville, was working on the grounds Tuesday, Aug. 7, of the Barber Road jail with an outside detail. “A civilian jail staff member discovered McGlotha walking on Calvary Church Road at approximately 1:30 p.m. Jail deputies responded and found him about a half mile away from the jail,” Hall County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Derreck Booth wrote in an email.
