Captured: Dickson County inmate work crew escapee |

Nearly a week after Dickson County Jail inmate Jesse Moreland escaped while on an outside work crew, he was captured not far from his former cell, according to the county sheriff’s office. Moreland was the passenger in a vehicle stopped Thursday by Deputy Jason Thompson in Charlotte, where the county jail is located. Once the vehicle was stopped, Moreland fled on foot from the deputy, but was apprehended by Thompson. Moreland was charged with escape and theft last week after fleeing from the work crew in a vehicle parked nearby with the keys in the ignition, according to the sheriff’s office.
