Inmate on the run for nearly two months captured |

BELL COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - An inmate who escaped during work release in Clay County back in June is now back in jail. Early Monday morning, officers with Middlesboro Police Department arrested Christopher Adkins, 29, in Middlesboro, where he is from. He is charged with first-degree fleeing or evading police on foot, first-degree fleeing or evading police in a motor vehicle, first-degree trafficking in meth, tampering with physical evidence, DUI, first-degree wanton endangerment, first-degree wanton endangerment of a police officer, first-degree driving on a DUI suspended license, resisting arrest and traffic violations.
