LINCOLN — Convicted killer Carey Dean Moore is scheduled to die by lethal injection today in the first execution in Nebraska since 1997. The Nebraska Department of Correctional Services said unless there is a stay or legal action to prevent the execution, it will occur at 10 a.m. Guards and officers began arriving and closing roads near the State Penitentiary in Lincoln early Tuesday.
