| SCI-Greene employees taken to hospital; jail on lock down |

SCI-Greene in Waynesburg is on lock down after four corrections officers were transported to a local hospital upon being exposed to an unknown substance. While searching an inmate's property at about 7 p.m. Monday night, the four officers began to feel ill, according to a news release from Pennsylvania Department of Corrections. After learning the officers were ill, prison officials called for "hazmat assistance." The area and officers were then isolated to prevent further contamination, the release said. The officers were transported at 7:20 p.m. by EMS to Southwest Regional Hospital for treatment, the release said. Read More. |
