PINE KNOT, Ky. (AP) — Authorities say a Kentucky federal prison inmate who started a 15-month sentence two weeks ago has died. The U.S. Department of Justice tells the Lexington Herald-Leader in a statement 55-year-old John Arthur died Monday after suffering life-threatening injuries. The Pulaski County native had been found unresponsive at the U.S. Penitentiary in McCreary County and died roughly an hour later at a hospital. The statement says the prison will investigate Arthur's death. It didn't say how he was injured. Read More. |
