NEW ALBANY — Diana Topping was a single mom who grew up in a service family. She always had an interest in joining the military, but with a young child, that was no longer an option. So she turned to law enforcement. That was three years ago, and she is certain she made the right decision. "I love my job, I truly do," she said. "It's always different everyday." Topping is a Floyd County corrections' officer, responsible for keeping order in the jail. Maybe not the first profession that most girls look to enter, but one where there is a need.
