A 33-year-old Maryland man expected to go on trial for the murder of his pregnant girlfriend died in his jail cell Thursday morning after apparently hanging himself, according to law enforcement officials. Tyler Tessier was accused of shooting Laura Wallen, 31, in a remote field in Damascus a year ago. Prosecutors had compiled what appeared to be a strong case against him.
