| ‘Suspicious package’ was drugs left at hospital for inmate |

A package suspicious enough to close the hospital campus and call in a bomb squad from Dothan Saturday night is believed to have been an illegal “care package” for an inmate in the county jail. The Andalusia Police Department and Andalusia Fire Department responded to Andalusia Health after a suspicious package was found at the ambulance entrance to the emergency room. Officers and hospital personnel followed hospital protocol. A perimeter was established at the hospital, and the APD requested assistance from the Dothan Bomb Squad. Read More. |
