Anthrax, bomb threat to judge lands Santa Rosa inmate 8 more years of federal time |

After claiming ties to ISIS, threatening to bomb a courthouse and to kill someone with anthrax, a Santa Rosa County prison inmate now has a new federal prison sentence to look forward to. On June 7, Craig T. Pope, 30, pleaded guilty to mailing threatening communications and threatened use of a weapon of mass destruction, according to a news release from the U.S. Attorney's Office. In April and May 2017, Pope — while serving a state prison sentence for crimes out of Hillsborough County — sent two threatening letters from the Santa Rosa Correctional Institution to a Hillsborough County judge who presided over his plea and post-conviction matters.
