7 inmates recaptured after escaping Louisiana prison |

TALLULAH, LA. (WVUE) - A manhunt was underway Wednesday (Sept. 12) for seven inmates who broke out of Madison Parish Detention Center in Tallulah by scaling the prison’s fence that morning, according to the Louisiana Department of Corrections. All the escaped inmates were recaptured by 10 p.m. Earlier Wednesday evening, DOC officials said they were still searching for four inmates hours after the other three were found. Joshua Lewis, 26, Leedarius Rogers, 24, Devario Turner, 36, and Earl Hollins, 24 were recaptured later the same night. The four inmates were considered dangerous, according to the DOC. Read More. |
