The Tarrant County Medical Examiner has released the report on the manner of death of Parker County Jail inmate Bernard Randolph Tully, 39, that occurred in August. “The TCME shows this death to be a natural manner and the cause as Atherosclerotic Coronary Artery Disease with Cardiomegaly,” Parker County Public Information Officer Deputy Danie Huffman said. According to the U.S. National Library of Medicine website, CAD can cause sudden cardiac death. “It is generally accepted that CAD is the most common cause of [sudden cardiac death] in adults, but the frequency of cardiomegaly as a primary or contributing cause is less known,” according to the website. “Among adults with a mean age of about 50 years, cardiomegaly is a frequent cause of sudden cardiac death and is highly associated with obesity.
