A Morgan County Jail inmate who escaped from a work detail about two months ago was captured in St. Clair County, where he was found in a barn, according to the Morgan County Sheriff's Office. The inmate, Christian Noel Lewis, 35, was on a work detail at Celebration Arena in Priceville on July 26 and escaped by stealing a vehicle, Sgt. Kyle Wilson said in a release. The vehicle was recovered a short time later at a Cullman County residence, and deputies just missed Lewis, who left the residence with an accomplice, according to the release. Read More. |
