Edna Mahan Correctional Facility for Women job training program receives $300K NJ grant |

TRENTON - The prisoners at Edna Mahan will be given more opportunities for job training thanks to a recent state grant. The state Department of Labor and Workforce Development recently awarded $300,000 to the Hunterdon County Vocational School District (HCVSD) to continue its program to train incarcerated women for work in construction, according to a news release from the district. The money will go toward expanding HCVSD's NJBUILD Program at the Edna Mahan Correctional Facility for Women in Union Township (Hunterdon), which trains women in various construction-related skills.
