| Inmate dies in Barnes County Jail of apparent suicide |

VALLEY CITY, N.D. — A 25-year-old Valley City man died Friday, Oct. 5, in the Barnes County Jail, according to Barnes County State’s Attorney Carl Martineck. Martineck said the inmate, Lonny Levi Bradley, is believed to have died from suicide. He added that it’s standard procedure for such incidents to be investigated by the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the North Dakota Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. According to court records, Bradley was charged in Barnes County District Court on Sept. 16 with domestic violence terrorizing, a felony. He was arrested that day and had been in jail since.
