The State Department of Corrections is expanding its automatic notification system to include an inmate escape from a halfway house. It currently pertains to one such facility in the Commonwealth. The Department of Corrections has used the notification system for more than a decade to provide alerts when an inmate escapes from a prison. By the end of this year, the system will also include all halfway houses in the Commonwealth. One halfway house, Keeton Corrections in Paducah, is currently active. Read More. |
