A South Carolina Corrections Department officer has been arrested after authorities say he smuggled drugs to an inmate at Kershaw Correctional Institution.
Robert Honeycutt, 19, of Jefferson, was arrested last Tuesday in Lancaster County and charged with conspiracy to distribute marijuana and conspiracy to furnish contraband, according to a news release from the State Law Enforcement Division.
Honeycutt described in detail how he took drugs into the prison for an inmate on three different occasions, according to an arrest warrant.
