(KRQE) - A new legislative report shows inmate-on-inmate violence in on the rise across New Mexico. The report from the state's Legislative Finance Committee says 32 assaults have been reported so far in 2018. That is more than double last year's number. The Department of Corrections says to avoid further attacks, it will better share information among prisons and improve its classification of inmates. Read More. |
