Some Saginaw jail inmates can still vote absentee |

SAGINAW, MI -- Some people currently behind bars in the Saginaw County Jail can still vote in the Nov. 6 election. Michigan law allows anyone to vote as long as they are not currently serving a court sentence. That means people in jail who are awaiting arraignment, trial or for any other reason without a conviction can still cast ballots. However, it doesn't mean they can leave jail and go to a precinct to vote. Instead, they can vote by absentee ballot. Read More. |
