Lithgow inmate convicted of assaults on guards |

An inmate of Lithgow Correctional Centre has been sentenced to eight months jail for assaulting prison officers. Brodie Vincent Hutchin, 27, was found guilty of four counts of assaulting a law enforcement officer in the execution of their duty in Lithgow Local Court on October 18 in relation to two separate incidents. The first related to spitting on two guards as they locked Hutchin inside his cell on May 25. In the second incident, the court heard Hutchin punched an officer at least twice in the head.
