A correctional officer was recently assaulted at Century Correctional Institution, according to information released by the Florida Department of Corrections. On October 23, inmate Samuel Rivera assaulted an officer at approximately 9:00 p.m, according to the FDC. Rivera grabbed and attempted to tackle the officer. Staff responded, and the inmate was subdued. The FDC saaid Rivera will receive a disciplinary report for this assault. Read More. |
