Clarinda Correctional Facility inmate dies

(Iowa City) -- An inmate at the Clarinda Correctional Facility died Saturday morning at an Iowa City hospital.

According to the Iowa Department of Corrections, 65-year-old Russell Kenneth Fidler was pronounced dead at 12:37 a.m. Saturday. His cause of death was declared as "natural causes." Fidler had been transported to the University of Iowa Hospitals due to a medical emergency.
