| Four Correctional Officers Assaulted at Sterling Correctional Facility |

On November 6, 2018 four Correctional Officers were assaulted by multiple offenders in the dining hall at Sterling Correctional Facility. Staff were examined and emergency treatment was administered by on duty medical personnel. Those injured were transported to the hospital by ambulance and other correctional staff. At this time the facility will remain on lock down as the incident is under investigation. Because it is an active investigation no further details can be released at this time. |
