Eric Scott has been taken into custody by the Pottawattamie County Sheriff's Office, according to a tweet from a Council Bluffs police officer. A prison inmate who triggered a manhunt last year after overpowering a Dodge County sheriff's deputy and getting away in his car received 97 to 113 years in prison for it Wednesday. Sixth Judicial District Judge John E. Samson sentenced Eric G. Scott on charges of second-degree assault on an officer, use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony and two theft charges out of Saunders County and an escape charge in Dodge County. Read More. |
