Inmate population drops but jail remains at capacity |

The inmate population has dropped — but the Clearfield County Jail continues to be filled to capacity, Warden Greg Collins reported at yesterday’s meeting of the Clearfield County Prison Board. Collins said the jail continues to be full, but the county is down to having seven inmates housed in the Jefferson County Jail. There has been times in the previous months where the county has had more than 20 inmates housed in Jefferson County. “We are whittling it down a bit,” Collins said. Read More. |
