A 19-year-old inmate who broke out of jail, has been caught by police. Ryan Bonar escaped from the Wilson County (Texas) Jail on Monday, and was found at a home in Kerrville before 9 p.m. Tuesday night. Kerrville police say Bonar was arrested without incident. Wilson County deputies say Bonar escaped after using bolt cutters from a tool room to cut through a fence. He then drove through the fence using a truck belonging to the sheriff's department. They say Bonar got access to the bolt cutters and the truck through his work assignment. Deputies say he was a trustee on good behavior, serving time for burglary, and wasn't always supervised. Bonar would commonly be outside mowing the lawn, or like yesterday, washing a truck. When he took off, apparently no one was watching. News 4 WOAI asked the Wilson County Sheriff if he got out because of lack of security. "No, he was an outside trustee, and he wasn't totally supervised all the time," said Sheriff Joe Tackitt, Jr. For now, Bonar is in jail in Kerr County. |
