HOLTON, Kan. (WIBW) -- An inmate briefly escaped Wednesday afternoon when the private company taking him to Topeka made a stop in Holton, the Jackson Co. Sheriff’s Office. Jackson Co. Sheriff Tim Morse explained the company was transporting Jacob Daniel Kull from a Kansas City, Missouri, jail to Shawnee Co. around 1 p.m. when its officers stopped in his county to pick up another inmate.
