Correction officers remain hospitalized after Yonkers shooting; grief counseling offered |

Two Westchester County correction officers remained hospitalized Sunday, days after they were victims of an apparent attempted murder-suicide in Yonkers. Yonkers police did not list the two officers' condition Sunday evening. They were last described as being "in critical condition with life-threatening injuries," according to Yonkers police on Saturday morning. Edward Quinoy, 40, a Tarrytown resident identified as the shooter, died late Friday night after police said he forced his way into a home on Buckingham Road and opened fire on his ex-girlfriend and another man.
